Instructions for Making Beaded Cleopatra Necklace

CLEOPATRA NECKLACE

YOU WILL NEED: A straight -nosed plier, a cutter, color-coated tigertail wire, a clasp, 4 jump rings, link chain, 6 crimp beads, 2 x 3-holed spreaders, 2 x 3-holed spacer bars, 22 x 6mm glass beads, 27 x 6mm fire polish glass beads, 5 x 6mm smooth glass pearl beads, 63 small metal beads.

Cut 3 pieces of wire of approximately 12 inches each.

Thread a crimp bead onto one piece of wire. Thread the wire through the top hole of the 3-holed spreader. Thread the wire back into the crimp bead. Squeeze the crimp bead close to the end spacer bar. Cut off the excess wire.

Repeat these steps with the two other pieces of wire.

WIRE 1, Step 1: Thread 2 fire polish glass beads, 2 glass beads and 5 small metal beads alternately. Then thread on a 3-holed space bar through the top hole.

WIRE 1, Step 2: Thread 4 glass beads, 3 fire polish glass beads and 8 small metal beads alternately. Then thread on a 3-holed space bar through the top hole.

WIRE 1, Step 3: Thread 2 fire polish glass beads, 2 glass beads and 5 small metal beads alternately (the same as Step 1). Instead of a 3-holed spacer bar, join the wire to the other end spacer bar's top loop / hole with a crimp bead (as you did in number 2).

WIRE 2, Step 1: Thread 1 glass bead, 3 fire polish glass beads, 1 smooth glass pearl bead and 6 small metal beads alternately. Then thread the wire through the 3-holed space bar's middle hole.

WIRE 2, Step 2: Thread 4 glass beads, 4 fire polish glass beads and 9 small metal beads alternately. Then thread the wire through the 3-holed space bar's middle hole. WIRE 2, Step 3: Thread 1 glass bead, 3 fire polish glass beads, 1 smooth glass pearl bead and 6 small metal beads alternately (the same as Step 1). Instead of a 3-holed spacer bar, join the wire to the other end spacer bar's middle loop / hole with a crimp bead (as you did in number 2).

WIRE 3, Step 1: Thread 2 glass beads, 3 fire polish glass beads, 1 smooth glass pearl bead and 7 small metal beads alternately. Then thread the wire through the 3-holed space bar's last hole.

WIRE 3, Step 2: Thread 4 glass beads, 4 fire polish glass beads, 1 smooth glass pearl bead and 10 small metal beads alternately. Then thread the wire through the 3-holed space bar's last hole. WIRE 3, Step 3: Thread 2 glass beads, 3 fire polish glass beads, 1 smooth glass pearl bead and 7 small metal beads alternately (the same as Step 1). Instead of a 3-holed spacer bar, join the wire to the other end spacer bar's middle loop / hole with a crimp bead (as you did in number 2).

Cut 2 link chains of approximately 5 inches each.

Join the loop of the spreader and one piece of the link chain with a jump ring.

Repeat these steps with the other piece of link chain but do not add a clasp, just a jump ring.
